"In an essay by Sori Yanagi that I read long ago, a heart-shaped German braided bread was introduced as one of the 'living crafts.' When Yanagi lived in Germany, he was captivated by its aesthetic beauty and enjoyed decorating his room with various shapes of German bread, which impressed me with its freedom of thought. Every time I saw the pretzels sold on the streets of New York, I was drawn to their shape, and one day I decided to decorate them instead of eating them, inspired by Yanagi. As I gazed at them every day, I became interested in their braiding technique and began researching their history. I learned that it originated from a prayer pose with crossed arms resting on the shoulders. That was the moment I decided to create a pretzel that could be enjoyed forever with the eyes, and the birth of Yuki&Daughters.

The sausage collection was born when the Whitney Museum, representing modern art in NY, moved to the Meatpacking District, calling for meat-free sausages! It has joined the standard collection as a souvenir at the Whitney Museum Shop. A set of four types of sausages: Weisswurst, Kosher Salami, Hard Salami, Kielbasa, wrapped in butcher paper used in American butcher shops. Meat-free, visually delicious, with an eternal shelf life.
