Wundwekammer Vol.3【KOTOBUKI JIRUSHI】

The third installment of the Wunderkammer exhibition features the artist Tanaka Tossy, who creates 'Skateboard Daruma' and papier-mâché works under the brand name Kotobuki. As a Daruma and local toy selector, member of the All Japan Daruma Research Association, and the Japan Local Toy Association, I wanted to take a peek into the mind of Kotobuki, which expresses the crossover of local toys and street culture through the technique of papier-mâché. This exhibition will be a valuable archive showcasing a collection of new Daruma, local toys, and his own works borrowed from his atelier in Yokohama. Additionally, on August 26 & 27, a two-person exhibition titled 'BODEGA' will be held simultaneously at the Daruma and local toy shop/gallery Yamabikoya @yamabikoya, so please be sure to check it out.

On the opening day, August 26 (Saturday), from 6 PM to 8 PM, we will host an opening party with Tossy from Kotobuki. Everyone is welcome to join, so please feel free to stop by.
