Announcement of the Release of the Uni-ssentials by TDS Spring / Summer 2024 Capsule Collection

TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO New Balance presents a performance and lifestyle apparel collection launched in 2023. By eliminating age and gender categories, we pursue a new comfort for everyone by entrusting fit and style to the wearer, and we will continue to update our products.
At Dice and Dice, the latest version, the SS24 capsule collection, will be released starting March 16 (Saturday). In "Uni-ssentials by TDS," we create clothing for humans. It is an experimental exploration of the essence of gender neutrality. This new collection fits the natural diversity of gender and allows the wearer to make their own choices, embodying a sense of style. The apparel lineup does not distinguish between men's and women's, significantly rethinking traditional pattern making with a single standard size range. It is designed to fit an urban lifestyle, merging the comfort and functionality that New Balance has established as an athletic brand with the sophistication and comfort required for private wear, as well as durability needed for activities like exercise. We repeatedly conduct fitting tests using models of various body types, nationalities, and genders to pursue the optimal size balance. We have eliminated the traditional uniform size grading (length changes per size) and set individual size pitches so that each item can be worn at the optimal length and width for each size. This approach caters to a more diverse body balance that exists between existing sizes. The yellow accents in the details are inspired by the colors of the Procare Program conducted in the United States in the 1990s (a certification mark from medical institutions and selected footwear dealers), expressing the top priorities of "fit" and "quality" in New Balance footwear manufacturing in our apparel production as well.
