In recent years, we have been working together with YAECA on a special collection for Dice and Dice.
As we requested a special product from YAECA for 2026, I thought a lot about what we could create to convey the brand name's origin, "I want you to wear it day by day."
"Clothes You Can Wear for the Next 10 Years"
This special collection is themed around this concept.
The YAECA shirt I bought about 10 years ago. The washing label print has faded, the buttons have been repaired after coming loose, and it is still a piece of clothing I continue to wear.
I thought about recreating this style and fabric, but since YAECA's fabric is original to the brand, there was nothing from 10 years ago. However, they provided a fabric that is very close to this one, with equal or better quality.
The fabric, called typewriter, is woven with fine threads at high density to the limit, giving it a paper-like smooth texture that feels great to wear. Among the many shirts from YAECA, I chose the extra wide version, which has a relaxed silhouette with ample room in the shoulders and body, making it easy to pair with both slim and wide pants. This shirt, known as the comfort shirt, has remained unchanged since its release with snap buttons, designed for one-handed opening and closing, which is one of the reasons I chose it.
