Designer Minami from Graphpaper explains / Dice&Dice exclusive Corbusier Jacket

2026.10.10 / ITEMS

This is a Corbusier jacket that Graphpaper has previously offered in leather, now tailored in denim. We were thoroughly particular about how the "worn-in" look is created through processing.

"Initially, I never thought of making the Corbusier jacket in denim instead of leather."

The idea came from the concept of replacing materials.

"In our collaboration with Dice&Dice, we often replace what we've created with different materials. When I thought about it, I realized that items with more sewing would show interesting wear when processed."

However, not just any processing will do.

"I dislike anything that looks fake. I tend to point out things like 'that's too forced' or 'if you actually wore it, it wouldn't wear like that.'"

Surprisingly, Mr. Minami does not particularly like processing itself.

"To be honest, I don't like processing. I believe denim should be developed from rigid fabric. That's why I study repeatedly where and how it will wear when actually worn, to eliminate any forced appearance."

—Excerpt from an interview with Graphpaper designer Takayuki Minami

Product Description
We have restructured this model, maintaining the distinctive semi-double front and flap pocket on the chest, into a refined silhouette. This model, which has been offered in leather, is now replaced with denim fabric.
Choosing materials to express the dimensionality of processing that emerges from products with many sewing processes.
The processing has been adjusted to meet the standards of designer Mr. Minami, who dislikes anything that looks forced.
The more you wear it, the deeper the expression of the fabric and sewing becomes.
