"Takumi Daimaru," who was born and raised in Fukuoka, just like Dice and Dice. After building a career in design school and as a brand pattern maker (designer) in Tokyo, he now has a studio (oomaru seisakusho 2, inc / 大丸製作所2) in New York and Tokyo, handling everything from sample production based on patterns for numerous clients including ALEXANDER WANG, THOM BROWNE, PUBLIC SCHOOL, and RALPH LAUREN PURPLE LABEL, to design consulting at times.
His own brand "OVER COAT / オーバーコート" combines ADULT NEW YORK and tailoring, starting the project from the FALL 2015 season with the thought of "new creations that exceed our imagination."
The awning (sunshade) used in front of stores in NEW YORK. Focusing on the unique designs and pop colors that arise from this multicultural city, he has announced a collection of coats that combines this awning with the tailored craftsmanship required for overcoats.
"A silhouette that stands apart from ordinary oversized coats"
The silhouette features a distinctive oversized design that can sometimes be layered over down jackets. By adding pleats to the shoulder line, it creates a pattern that beautifully showcases the shoulder line for people of any size, distinguishing it from ordinary oversized coats. The fabric is also carefully selected, with collaboration from Japan's renowned fabric manufacturer "Komatsu Seiren" to create the fabric from scratch.
