"YAECA" is a daily wear brand that resonates with life, established by Tetsuhiro Hattori in 2002 after his experience as a stylist.
Among various categories such as "YAECA WRITE," which is inspired by workwear, and "CONTEMPO," which proposes relaxed wear focusing on comfort, "LIKE WEAR" expresses classic military wear from YAECA's unique perspective.
Here, we introduce two types of outerwear.
One is the "M-51," not only from "LIKE WEAR" but also an item that many brands have paid homage to. It is a well-known symbol of military wear.
Incidentally, the "M-51" refers to the military equipment supplied to the U.S. Army in 1951.
Features include a hood integrated with the body, epaulets on both shoulders, and a fish tail at the back hem that is long and tapered.
In addition, it is also called a "mod coat" because in the 1960s, young people known as "mods," who donned slim three-button suits in England, wore them over their scooters, like customized Vespas, to keep warm and protect their suits from dirt.
The other is a field jacket called the "M-65."
It features a stand collar with a simple hood tucked inside, action pleats for mobility at the shoulders, and triangular straps at the cuffs for hand protection.
From its official adoption in 1965 until 2008, it has undergone updates while remaining a timeless masterpiece of U.S. military combat uniforms.
