The "M1600," which debuted in 1994 as the first model in the New Balance 1000 series featuring the shock-absorbing and responsive midsole material "ABZORB," was a shoe that established a futuristic design that continued into the 90s after the "1500."
It incorporates ABZORB within the ENCAP structure, balancing stability and cushioning while supporting shock absorption upon landing. This "M1600" comes as the Asia-produced "CM1600" with a special specification that retains the original design and material feel, featuring a gold embroidery of the N logo on the upper, “LIMITED EDITION” on the heel, and ‘JAPAN EXCLUSIVE’ on the tongue design.
