TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO New Balance College Logo Sweat Series & Multifunction Wool Socks Capsule Collection
2021.10.04 / OTHERS
At Dice and Dice, we will release a capsule collection featuring 3 apparel styles and 1 sock style from TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO New Balance (TDS) on October 8, 2021 (Friday) at our physical stores and online store.
Online Store: Launch starts at 10:00 AM
Physical Store: Launch starts at 1:00 PM
The apparel developed by TDS, inspired by New Balance's established footwear craftsmanship, features a college logo sweatshirt series that balances classic style with the comfort of functional materials. We propose 2 tops and 1 pair of pants in gender-neutral patterns and silhouettes. The multifunctional wool socks, perfect for the autumn and winter seasons, offer support for sports and outdoor activities while maintaining a simple look. These items, which can be worn as casual streetwear or activewear during sports, feature graphic work designed by Yoshihisa Tanaka, a graphic designer and artist known as Nerhol, who reinterprets the classic college logo in a modern way.
TDS College Logo Sweat Series
The sweatshirt series, making its debut in TDS apparel, comes in two color variations of heather gray for each item. Not only can you enjoy a classic texture, but it also uses a lightweight, warm cotton/acrylic functional fabric. It resists shape distortion even after repeated washing, allowing for stress-free wear as daily wear or in active scenes such as sports. This time, we have adopted original graphics by Yoshihisa Tanaka, a graphic designer and artist known as Nerhol, who has a close relationship with the Tokyo Design Studio, themed around upcycling at the New Balance T-HOUSE in Nihonbashi Hamacho, Tokyo. The classic college logo seen in 1970s running wear has been reinterpreted with modern, sophisticated original typography and coloring. Embroidery and prints are mixed and applied to each item.
