& DICE & DICE supported by TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO New Balance (hereinafter TDSNBXDXD) held an installation by artist WORKSHOP™ from December 4 (Saturday) to December 20 (Monday).
This installation interprets the shop name "dice & dice" as two cubes, aiming to function as a display by overlapping them to reveal a single structure. The two cubes are composed of elements distributed to capture the functionality and spatiality of the shop either dichotomously or monistically, overlapping with contrasting features, resulting in objects that exist outside the realm of typical displays.
WORKSHOP™
From Tokyo. After graduating from Kuwasawa Design School, I worked in planning and design for an apparel brand before becoming independent and starting to create display pieces for my own exhibitions. In 2017, I expanded into display production and spatial composition through collaborations with labels and creators. In 2019, I began activities under the name WORKSHOP™, creating and exhibiting art that incorporates interpretations of standards and structural approaches based on industrial materials.
