In a long-term partnership between the global athletic brand New Balance and Stone Island, we reinterpret New Balance's innovative footwear, the "RC ELITE," which is designed for racing and training performance shoes. Both brands share the same values in research and functionality in their respective fields, creating data-driven innovative designs through an analytical approach. Beyond trends, New Balance and Stone Island collaborate to create the best products in unprecedented creative ways. This high-performance model's second release features two new colorways that combine Stone Island's bold neon colors with New Balance's authentic color palette. One features an acid green knit upper wrapped in the classic burgundy colorway of the 574. The other features a vibrant red knit upper layered with iconic New Balance grey.

The new upper structure boasts extremely high breathability, expressed through a combination of contrasting elements: the classic design elements of New Balance's footwear, represented by the "574," and cutting-edge materials and technologies featuring 3D mesh structures and 3D logos. The midsole utilizes the latest ultra-lightweight FuelCell technology, updated with a carbon fiber plate, designed to provide propulsion and the best energy return for functional performance at any distance, enabling high-speed running. It features a racing-compatible vamp (the top part of the foot) with a very thin, lightweight midfoot structure that ensures maximum breathability. The strategically expressed graphics on the inside and outside, created using 3D printing technology, feature the flying NB logo on the right foot and the Stone Island compass logo on the left foot.








New Balance FuelCell RC ELITE
The "FuelCell" series began development in 2017 at the innovation lab in New Balance's factory in America, in collaboration with athletes. To create the ultimate shoe for runners from scratch, numerous prototypes were tested based on performance data from Jenny Simpson, a world-class middle-distance runner on Team NB. This led to the birth of the midsole material "FuelCell foam," which has the highest rebound elasticity in New Balance. The "FuelCell RC ELITE," born in 2020 as a shoe suitable for serious racing in a full marathon, features a bouncy running feel, lightweight design, grip that allows for acceleration, and smooth landings. It employs lightweight and highly responsive "FuelCell" in the midsole, designed for high performance, anticipating use by top athletes in serious races. The carbon fiber plate built into the sole generates propulsion and supports the runner. The upper features a mesh structure made of 3D knit that does not sacrifice comfort during races. The midsole is designed with cutouts for visibility of the carbon plate and the outsole is significantly hollowed out for weight reduction and improved traction.
