The new upper structure boasts extremely high breathability, expressed through a combination of contrasting elements: the classic footwear design elements represented by the “574” from New Balance, along with cutting-edge materials and technologies featuring a 3D mesh structure and 3D logo. The midsole uses the latest ultra-lightweight FuelCell technology, updated to provide propulsion and the best energy return in all directions, designed for high-speed running over any distance. It features a racing-compatible vamp (the top part of the foot) that is very thin and ensures maximum breathability, thanks to the lightweight midfoot structure created by the 3D knit. The Flying NB logo from New Balance is strategically expressed on both the inside and outside of the upper using 3D printing technology.

New Balance FuelCell RC ELITE
The "FuelCell" series began development in 2017 at the Innovation Lab in New Balance's American factory, in collaboration with athletes. To create the ultimate shoe for runners from scratch, numerous prototypes were tested based on performance data from Jenny Simpson, a Team NB middle-distance athlete competing globally, while experimenting with new designs and materials. This led to the birth of the midsole material "FuelCell foam," which has the highest rebound elasticity in New Balance. The "FuelCell" series was born in 2020 as a shoe that provides a bouncy running feel, suitable for full marathon races, with lightness, grip that enhances acceleration, and smooth landings. Utilizing lightweight and highly responsive "FuelCell" in the midsole, it achieves high performance designed for top athletes to wear in serious races. The integrated carbon fiber plate in the sole generates propulsion and supports the runner. The upper features a mesh structure made of 3D knit that does not sacrifice comfort during races, fitting the foot and reducing stress. The midsole is cut-out designed for weight reduction and visibility of the carbon plate, while the outsole is significantly hollowed out to improve lightness and traction.
