WEST POINT OVERSIZED TRENCH COAT

This is a complete reproduction of the legendary trench coat material 'West Point' that was developed by Aton in the 2017 Spring/Summer collection, after two years of analysis and prototyping. The raw cotton is made from only the finest cotton from California, specially spun at a spinning factory in Sennan City, Osaka, and woven in the Banshu region, using a shuttle loom with great care and slowness, resulting in Aton's original material.
*After World War II, it is said that this fabric was used for uniforms presented to General MacArthur, utilizing the pinnacle of Japanese spinning technology. The legendary material 'West Point' was created by tracing the recipe from 15 to 20 years ago at a spinning factory. We searched for dead stock of the fabric made at that time and produced only 40 trench coats for the 2017 Spring/Summer collection.
*Cotton 'Sanforized Cotton' from California's San Joaquin Valley. This area has ideal conditions for cotton cultivation, with abundant sunlight, rich snowmelt from the Sierra Nevada, and fertile soil. The San Joaquin cotton grown here is known for its long fibers and uniform quality, trusted as the cleanest cotton in the world. It features a soft texture, excellent color fastness, and water absorption, maintaining its quality even after frequent washing.
The trench coat was born during World War I as one of the long coats worn by British and French army officers to protect themselves from rain and cold in the trenches. Aton's trench coat is based on trench coats from about 100 years ago, incorporating precious details from that time while updating the design for modern environments. The collar features a foldable windproof strap, and even when the waist belt is tightened, the soft fabric creates a beautiful silhouette. The sleeve straps use easy-to-remove and easy-to-secure snaps. This is a classic Aton trench coat that looks good even when taken off.

This hoodie (sweatshirt) features a sharp triangular hood and a slightly oversized silhouette. The cuffs are designed with ribbing in a triangle shape to avoid concentrating force at a single point, combining functionality with design. As a signature item of Aton, it features a flocked 'A' mark on the left chest.
This jersey material is knitted in Wakayama with thick yarn at twice the usual density. By knitting it densely, it ensures durability and prevents shrinkage after being washed post-product dyeing. The inner fleece has a three-layer structure connecting the surface, back, and the middle layer, which contains air, providing warmth.

This cut-and-sew series is perfect for the summer season, knitted with strong twisted yarn in Wakayama. By incorporating a special process during spinning, we achieved beautiful coloring despite the strong twisted yarn. It has a unique crispness that allows for a cool wear even in hot weather, and it dries easily after washing.
It features a design that looks like two T-shirts layered together. It adopts a loose silhouette that is slightly smaller than an oversized silhouette, providing a comfortable relaxed feel. Although it uses summer material, layering creates an air layer in between, achieving a sweatshirt-like comfort and warmth, making it a classic Aton high-neck pullover.

These are tapered silhouette tuck pants. They are designed to resemble non-tuck pants that have been pinched at the waist belt. The pants are finished with a relaxed wide tapered silhouette towards the hem. They do not shrink even when put in the dryer, making them a long-lasting piece.
The cotton fabric, woven at maximum density in the Como region of Italy, is thoroughly kneaded and dyed in the Kojima area of Okayama Prefecture. The exquisite texture of the fabric, which cannot be found elsewhere, is restored with each wash, allowing you to experience that softness repeatedly, making it an original Aton material.
