TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO New Balance TDS Garment Dye Apparel Fall 2022 Capsule Collection

Inspired by New Balance's established footwear craftsmanship, the apparel line from Tokyo Design Studio develops a collection of garment-dyed, heavy-weight, dry cut-and-sew items that balance classic style with the comfort of functional materials. It features two types of tops, including a new color of the mock neck long sleeve T-shirt that can be worn alone, and one type of cropped pants that have become a new standard, all presented in gender-neutral patterns and silhouettes.
The new color of the TDS running cap is designed with specifications that accommodate sports scenes, and it can be compactly folded to fit in your pocket. These items, which are also suitable for sports scenes or as one-mile wear, feature the dynamic New Balance splash logo printed on them.

The TDS standard cut-and-sew material, blended with functional yarn, resists deformation even after repeated washing and excels in moisture absorption and quick drying.
Additionally, each piece undergoes careful hand-dyeing and bio-processing, resulting in a soft texture despite its heavy weight.
With a relaxed fit, it features a wide body and a slightly shorter length. The unique pattern, which does not include shoulder slopes, allows it to be worn regardless of gender or body type. The cut-off details at the hem and pocket openings add a sense of lightness. The mock neck provides a moderately snug collar that gives an elegant impression. It serves as a comfortable inner layer for various outfits, and the moderately thick fabric and detailed work allow it to be styled on its own.

These pants are cropped to consider coordination with sneakers, featuring a tapered silhouette towards the hem. With an elastic and drawcord waist design and a neutral relaxed silhouette, they can be worn regardless of gender or body type. Additionally, the drawcord is inspired by shoe laces, adding a New Balance-like detail. The cut-off details at the hem and side seams enhance the sense of lightness. While providing a relaxed and comfortable fit, the moderately thick and elegant fabric allows for a cleaner coordination compared to regular sweatpants.
