Made in USA SEASON 2 is a collection inspired by the outdoors, featuring its distinctive colors and materials in both footwear and apparel. The footwear collection, focusing on the 990v1, 990v2, and 990v3, continues to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the New Balance 990 series.

The iconic 990 series from New Balance was born in 1982 as a running shoe for on-road use. Developed by gathering the latest technology, it was released at a very high price of $100 at the time. It gained attention by claiming "990 points out of 1000" in advertisements, and has since evolved through 13 generations including "995", "996", "997", "998", "999", "990", "991", "992", "993", "990v3", "990v4", and "990v5". Since its original release, it has always been manufactured in factories within the United States, embodying New Balance's craftsmanship and functionality, making it a legendary series of the brand. The subtle updates to the classic silhouette through unique minor changes of the 990 have been realized by 40 years of technological development, continuing to implement the original instructions from Jim Davis, the owner of New Balance, establishing its status as the best sneaker. The carefully designed design, minimal aesthetic, and undeniable comfort of this shoe have been passed down through generations, undeniably related to the sneaker culture that exists today.
