We are excited to announce the "Uni-ssentials by TDS" performance lifestyle collection, which updates our apparel line for the Spring/Summer 2023 season. This collection abolishes age and gender categories, focusing instead on fit and style for the wearer, pursuing new comfort for everyone.

Uni-ssentials by TDS
The essence of "Uni-ssentials by TDS" is to create clothing for humans and to experimentally explore gender neutrality. This new collection fits the natural diversity of gender and allows the wearer to take ownership of their choices in style. The apparel lineup does not distinguish between men's and women's clothing, significantly rethinking traditional pattern making to offer sizes under a single standard. Designed to blend the comfort and functionality established by New Balance as an athletic brand, it fits urban lifestyles that require both sophistication and comfort, from private settings to durable exercise activities. We conduct repeated fitting tests using models of various body types, nationalities, and genders to pursue optimal size balance. We have eliminated traditional uniform size grading (length changes per size) and set individual size pitches to ensure that each item can be worn at the optimal length and width for each size, accommodating a more diverse body balance that fits between existing sizes. The yellow accents in the details are inspired by the colors of the Procare Program implemented in the United States in the 1990s, reflecting the top priorities of “fit” and “quality” in New Balance footwear manufacturing into apparel production as well.
Nylon Wind Jacket

The top layer is made of 100% Rimonta chambray nylon. It has water-repellent and windproof properties while being washable at home. The under layer uses a stretch fabric of 97% polyester and 3% polyurethane, which is wrinkle-resistant and highly elastic. The jacket reinterprets New Balance's archives, inspired by the iconic 78 JACKET that debuted in 1978. It features a foldable hood integrated into the collar and a pocket at the left shoulder seam for small accessories like earphones. The new half-ribbed cuffs are designed to stay securely in place without stress when rolling up the sleeves.
