Designer Minami from Graphpaper explains / Wool Doeskin Long Jacket, Tapered Trousers

This collection has the theme "Mountain View," which intentionally gives it a very outdoor appearance. I have this sense of the era from around the 90s when outdoor wear became a regular fashion choice for streetwear, and I wanted to express that.
Among the influences I received in fashion during that time were things from YOHJI and COMME des GARCONS. I have my own image of clothing from that period. It's not about directly making clothes like GARCONS or Yohji, but rather, I have somewhat deformed that feeling of the clothes I thought about back then.
Wool Doeskin Long Jacket / BLACK
The jackets from that time had a big and long image, and I don't really remember how long they were in reality. As for the doeskin jacket, it has been intentionally made quite long. The pants, on the other hand, are short and quite tapered, with a wide thigh but an awkward length, so I tried to deform that into a single piece of clothing.
Wool Doeskin Tapered Trousers / BLACK
The wool doeskin series is my favorite item in this collection, and the material is a classic tuxedo fabric, so it's really good. That fabric can only be made in solid black, and since it was an incredibly good fabric, I thought a completely black outfit would be nice. The image of a completely black outfit is something I had from my younger days, influenced by COMME des GARCONS and YOHJI, so I intentionally deformed that into my design.
At that time, I was starting to become very interested in awkward lengths, and the 24SS collection has already been exhibited and finished, but it has further nuances of that, and I feel like it's a piece that connects to the next.
