In the early days, we used cotton with about 100 or 120 threads, but now it's become a 200-thread broadcloth, and the yarn has switched to a very good extra-long cotton.
From the beginning, I've consistently thought that since I love sleeping, I wanted to use fabric like the sheets used on beds. I wondered if I could go out while still in bed. That feeling of being wrapped up in clothing made me want to create this shirt.
The collar's interfacing is water-soluble, so it dissolves when washed. This shirt has been washed once, so at that point, a certain amount of the interfacing has already melted away, making it not too stiff.
I'm making casual shirts, but the sewing is really detailed, done by a factory that specializes in dress shirts. The contrast of high and low is a characteristic feature. The material and sewing are very dressy, but the shape and fit are casual, creating that contrast. I always find myself reaching for shirts the most, so this feels like our most standard fabric for casual shirts.
This time, we've also created collection colors; usually, we only have standard colors, but this time it's the same material and fabric.
For those who want to change the mood a bit, they can buy the collection colors, while those who want the usual can wear the standard ones. That's the idea.
When people think of Graphpaper's broad shirts, they often imagine oversized shirts, but in reality, there are size variations, and only the oversized shirts are extremely large. We have size variations based on people's styles, so while they aren't small, you can wear them in a regular size and change the balance, which is interesting. This shirt has been carefully tested and created from the very beginning.
Until now, the F size was the largest, but recently an O size has been created. I personally thought the F size was small, so I wanted to create something larger for myself.
Additionally, I've been asked by customers, "Aren't you going to make broad shirts in a larger Oxford size?" and acquaintances overseas have mentioned, "It's not small, but I want to wear it larger and more comfortably." I felt that too, so that's why we started making larger sizes this time.
