Wunderkammer Original Bandana
100% Cotton, Silkscreen Print
52cm x 52cm
Made and Printed in Japan
The bandana from Wunderkammer carries several meanings. First, the logo that jumps out at you, and the rope that surrounds the bandana. The lasso used by cowboys, a lifeline for sailors and mountaineers... strong and unbreakable, it is often used as a symbol of friendship. The ropes depicted at the corners represent the Fukuoka Prefecture emblem, the plum blossom. The small scattered elements are inspired by the classic ceremonial patterns of Hakata weaving, while the striped frame features a parent-child stripe design. It serves as a flag for those who love Fukuoka Prefecture, a memento of the journey for those who visit Fukuoka, imbued with heartfelt wishes as a souvenir. The design, which perfectly mixes Japanese and Western styles, is by graphic designer Tomo Adachi, based in New York.
