Aloha Blossom - INDIGO LEOPARD
This special model is a Dice & Dice exclusive, co-created by Aloha Blossom, an Aloha shirt brand originating from Okinawa, and Takarajima Senko, a dyeing studio based in Fukuoka. Made from high-quality rayon fabric, each piece is hand-dyed using natural dyes, giving it a unique and artisanal finish. The texture of the base fabric is preserved while bringing out natural irregularities and rich depth of color. The “INDIGO LEOPARD” design features a foundation of indigo dye layered with a brushing technique and dyes derived from natural materials including chickpeas, sumi ink, and logwood. These dyes are applied in an irregular polka-dot pattern, followed by a coarse brush application of sumi ink across the fabric to create shadows and depth. The intricate process includes the use of shredded paper for texturing, color development through iron mordant, and a final sun-drying finish. While it carries the appearance of a printed pattern, the large-scale motif—reminiscent of traditional indigo dyeing—has been reconstructed into an all-over leopard print design. Every piece is hand-dyed, making it truly one-of-a-kind.
