The name 'Spomenik' refers to the monumental structures in the former Yugoslavia that the designer encountered while wandering through Eastern Europe. These structures, quietly standing in nature, embody various emotions and are interpreted as symbols of reconciliation, becoming a part of the individual's life history and a tool to traverse the future. The product line is developed from the architectural design of Spomenik and the desire to utilize the wonderful archives and deadstock fabrics lying dormant in factories. By combining fabrics and patterns, and through various approaches, we reinterpret and revive them for the modern age. Like a culinary marriage of ingredients, we mix sophistication with the inherent quality of the materials, creating products that feel fresh over time and can be cherished for years to come.
