A classic wide pant. It features a simple structure that eliminates side and inner thigh seams, leaving only the back center seam that connects to the slit at the hem. The pattern wraps around the body, maintaining volume while creating a sleek line. The inside of the waist has a drawstring for adjustable fit. The single-layer construction allows for a direct appreciation of the beauty of the structure and the texture of the material.

The weaving method of habotai differs from the usual plain weave that uses warp and weft threads of the same thickness, as it features two finer warp threads, resulting in a lighter and softer touch. Additionally, a finishing process involving immersion in an alkaline solution obtained through the electrolysis of salt is applied, giving it moderate strength and firmness.
