Spomenik
The name 'Spomenik' means monument in reference to the massive structures in the former Yugoslavia that the designer encountered while wandering through Eastern Europe. These pants, created as part of a historical symbol like those monuments, interpret various feelings embodied in their overwhelming presence quietly standing in nature, serving as a tool to unravel history and traverse the future in one's own life.
The product line is developed from the architectural design of Spomenik and the desire to utilize the wonderful archives and deadstock fabrics lying dormant in the factory. By combining fabrics and patterns, and through various approaches, we add new reinterpretations to bring them back to modern times. Like a dish that marries different ingredients, we mix sophistication with the inherent quality of the materials, aiming to create items that feel fresh over time and can be cherished for years to come.
