About Baby Alpaca
Baby alpaca is made from the first cut of alpaca wool from animals under one year old, and it ranks among the top three qualities in the alpaca market. Micron count (0.001 mm): 22-23 microns. The fibers are slightly thicker than royal alpaca, which enhances their durability, making them suitable for casual items. Alpacas raised in natural environments possess many functions in their wool to survive harsh conditions. They have self-cleaning properties and can reduce body odor when exposed to air. Additionally, to cope with external temperature changes, the hollow structure of the fibers provides temperature regulation. Compared to sheep wool and other animal hairs, the scales (the outer layer of the hair) are finer and fewer, which makes them less prone to pilling.
