What is baby alpaca?
Baby alpaca is made from the first cut of alpaca wool from alpacas under one year old, and it ranks among the top three qualities in the alpaca market. Micron count (0.001 mm): 22-23 microns. The fibers are slightly thicker than royal alpaca, which enhances durability, making it suitable for casual items. Alpacas raised in natural environments have many functions in their wool to survive harsh conditions. It has self-cleaning properties and can reduce body odor when exposed to air. Additionally, the hollow structure of the fibers allows for temperature regulation to respond to external temperature changes. Compared to sheep wool and other animal hairs, the scales (the outer layer of the hair) are finer and fewer, which reduces the likelihood of pilling.
